Water District Flush June 7th

The residents in the Greenwood Water District are advised that the water system will be flushed out on Tuesday, June 7th at 10pm.

Important steps to take:

#1: DO NOT USE YOUR HOT WATER BETWEEN 9:30PM AND 4AM ON JUNE 7TH-8TH. This is important to prevent your hot water tank from needing to be drained and flushed out after the flushing.

#2: WHEN YOU USE YOUR WATER START WITH TURNING ON THE COLD WATER TO FLUSH OUT ANY RESIDUE THAT MIGHT HAVE OCCURED. You could see a slight temporary change in the water when first starting the cold water. Considering we just cleaned out the water tank this should clear fast if anything does change.

#3: FIREPLUG COVERS: The district will start to remove the fireplug covers a day or two ahead of time to speed up the flushing. We ask that you do not touch or attempt to put the covers back on to prevent damage to them. After the flushing has occurred the district will check and install the covers back on the fireplugs. This will be done the following days.

#4: If you notice anything out of the normal or have questions contact Ron Hurd.

NOTE: If weather prohibits we will reschedule and update with new date and time.
